i read it maybe two years ago, i was eleven, it was completely fine. I love the lunar chronicles as much as everyone else in the reviews here. DRUGS/DRINKING: Thorne likes to gamble, even blind, and other gamblers are described to be drinking. Other than that, there is nothing sex related. Cress talks about a longing to be kissed, often imagines and daydreams about it. Cinder and Kai kiss once, Cress and Thorne kiss once on a rooftop, though it wasn't a love kiss because Thorne promised Cress he would kiss her before she died and it was a life-threatening situation. They leave before even sleeping in the bed. And Thorne said, "We are married, darling," but nothing happens. Also, when they reach a hotel, pretending to be married, Cress notes that there is only one bed. SEX: There aren't any sex scenes, though there is a part when Cress is showering and Thorne, who is blind, walks in. It's really hard to find a fantasy romance for young adults without swearing and violence, though. VIOLENCE: This book is pretty violent, a character is tortured and forced to cut off her own finger, there are lots of gun shootings, the usual. LANGUAGE: There isn't much language, and if any only the H word. Thorne is pretty vain and arrogant and selfish, though he is kind and inspiring. Everyone was such a great role model, and I think tweens and teens could really look up to all of the characters in this series. Cress was my favorite book in the Lunar Chronicles.
